Influence Metrics for Twitter: More about Klout

Klout has come up with a way to measure the overall online influence. The score ranges from 0-100 and the higher the score the more influencial you are. 25 different variables are used to arrive at the final Klout score. The variables, if generally divided, fall into three categories, i.e., true reach, amplification probability and network score.

True reach is determined by how active your fans or followers are with your brand. Of all your followers you have there are few who interact with your brand and there are many dead accounts. All this is taken into consideration when calculating the Klout score.
Amplification probability measures how actively the information that you put out is shared and spread by your followers.

The network score determines how influential your users are, how strong their network is and the level of influence of their networks.
