Facebook preferred over Google for Social Sign-In

Facebook has overtaken Google as the most preferred social sign-in among users of the Janrain Engage social connection service. Facebook recorded a preference of 35% when Google recorded 31% preference and Yahoo came 3rd with 13%!



Facebook is growing at the expense of Google, when facebook recorded a growth of 30% between Q4 2010 and Q1 2011, Google witnessed a decline of 18%. The social networking site is slowly but surely gaining on the search engine giant.


Facebook also leads the stats when it comes to sharing content on social networks, with 52% of users preferring facebook followed by Twitter which is at 32%.
