So how do you identify a Fake Facebook account from a real person? In this Infographic you will some general characteristics of a Fake account, spammers are using the social media sites to greater extent to exploit the innocent users by posting links and other messages on their profile and onto their friends profile.

Learn to recognise these fake people on Facebook to avoid being a target of the spammers. Some generic characteristics of these fake accounts are:

* 97% of fake profiles are created using women’s names, and 58 percent claim to be interested in both men and women.
* The fake profiles averaged 726 friends, while the authentic ones averaged just 130.
* 15% of the actual profiles had no status updates, while that figure soared to 43 percent for the fakes.
