Govt of India wants to embrace social media and improve interaction online

It’s about time the Indian government make serious efforts to embrace and leverage various social platforms available to them. In the web-social-mobile age where millions of Indians spend hours together online it’s imperative that the government at least have basic web and social properties in place. This article in the Economic Times talks about how the government is making an effort to, “correct awkward social media skills” and improve their presence on social sites like Facebook, twitter, etc. Credit is due where deserved, and the article rightly points out some of the commendable efforts of the Delhi Police in using Facebook.
